Wood pulp, a pulpy substance made from plant-based raw materials (mainly wood) with lignocellulose as the main component, after a series of physical and chemical treatments. It is the basic raw material for the paper industry, originating from the combination of mankind's effective use of natural resources and technological advances. The production process of wood pulp includes steps such as raw material collection, pre-treatment, cooking to remove lignin and other non-fibre components, washing, screening and bleaching, aiming to extract cellulose fibres that are pure and suitable for papermaking.
