Candy twist wrapping paper is a light, flexible wrapping paper engineered to twist tightly around individual pieces of confectionery and hold its shape. Twist-end wrapping is a classic confectionery format, but modern high-speed lines set demanding conditions on the paper behind it: the sheet has to fold cleanly around the sweet without tearing, hold the two twisted ends closed so the wrap does not spring open, stay free of sticky sugar and chocolate surfaces, and run steadily for long runs on automatic machines. This grade is made for exactly that job — paper stock that candy and chocolate makers print, slit and twist into classic twist-end wraps on their own lines.

What is candy twist wrapping paper

A twist wrapper holds a piece of confectionery by two crimped ends twisted in opposite directions. The paper must be soft and flexible enough to fold quickly and tightly around the piece at machine speed, yet firm enough for the twisted ends to keep their position afterwards. Candy twist grades balance the two: flexible, tear-resistant fibres fold without breaking during high-speed twisting, while controlled stiffness lets the twisted ends hold their shape instead of springing back, so the wrap stays tight through packing, display and transport.

Key material properties

• Easy twisting and shape retention. The sheet is flexible and fold-resistant, so it twists cleanly at high speed without breaking, and the twisted ends hold their shape and resist spring-back, keeping the wrap tight around the sweet.
• Non-stick surface and easy peel. A smooth surface resists sticking to the candy, especially high-fat, high-sugar hard candies and chocolates, so the piece is not surface-damaged and consumers peel the wrap open easily.
• Aroma and moisture protection. A moisture-resistant sheet keeps sugar from absorbing humidity and turning sticky or melting, while low aroma loss helps the candy keep its original flavour longer on the shelf.
• Machinability on high-speed lines. Good tensile strength keeps the web running continuously on automatic twist-wrapping machines without breakage, and clean, burr-free slitting gives even feeding and accurate positioning.
• Food-contact safety. Food-contact grades meet international food-contact safety requirements; supporting documentation for compliance review is available offline on request.
